Project Manager
Responsible for promoting and enforcing safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel on construction sites. Work closely with project teams to identify hazards, implement safety measures, provide training, and monitor compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of client/customer relationships
- Management of projects from initial client/customer contact and proposal phases, through construction and accounting close.
- Preconstruction process to include site surveys/site walks and subcontractor selection and preparation of client proposals.
- Developing/tracking project budgets to include all costs for labor, materials, and subcontractors.
- Management of master schedules, project timelines and milestones
- Providing updates/formal weekly schedules for all current and prospective projects to owners/executive management
- Acquisition of all required permits
- Verification of inspection schedules and reports
- Submittal and approval of all subcontracts and change orders.
- On-site relations with client/customer, design consultants, facility representatives, subcontractors, and city officials.

Qualifications and Skills
- Flexible detailed-oriented enthusiastic self-starter that is a team player with excellent communication, managerial and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management.
- The ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
- Qualified experience in the Higher Education, Health Care and Retail markets are preferred.
- Positions will require scheduling, purchasing, estimating, as well as management of personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Project. Sage Project Management Software experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited construction related curriculum preferred.
- Minimum 7 years experience in Commercial Construction.
- Experience with the construction of site and building systems, and a thorough understanding of the construction process and practice.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple construction projects.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Familiarity with the practice of typical design and construction codes, standards, and guidelines.
- Must have a positive attitude towards change. Can identify the need, remove the barriers and has the know how to make things happen.
- Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people and shows good common sense and applied logic.

- Must be an enthusiastic self-starter that is a team player with excellent communication, managerial and interpersonal skills.
